Amazing atmosphere and delicious food. I
have been trying to get to this place for a long time, I had never
tried Moroccan. Although, I knew I liked Ethiopian, Indian, etc.
However, it is remarkably difficult to find the Ix building. Or maybe
that is just me. However, I recently happened upon the entrance which is
easiest to find from Elliot Avenue. I was not disappointed. The
atmosphere in this palatial space was fabulous and felt very true to
it's cultural background of North African/Moroccan. The food was all
delicious with a surprising number of vegetarian options (my wife is a
pescatarian). The combination of spices was excellent. Cinnamon and
powdered sugar on the cous-cous was suprising and delicious. If you
really want a home-run try the shrimp with lentils. My wife had the
hibiscus tea cooler, which she enjoyed hugely. The price was actually
quite reasonable for a tapas style restaurant plus we had left-overs,
which I am already looking forward to eating. We will definitely be back
with friends, other people need to know about this place so that they
can keep it going so that I can eat there!
